Abstract

The author discusses a research from David Avison and Julien Malaurent concerning the emergence of too much theory-based papers in information systems (IS). The author explores the four activities associated to the digital age development. The author agrees on the existence of theory-heavy papers, but argues that importance of theory in IS research.
